Here is a wonderful, antique bisque shoulderhead, c. 1910, GIBSON GIRL lady doll with original lovely, brown glass, sleep eyes, finely painted upper and lower lashes and exquisitely shaped, closed mouth with upturned chin, perfect blush and coloring, molded hollow at the base of her neck, multi-stroke soft brown eyebrows and long slender nose. She is incised 172. 6/o Made in Germany with antique cloth, lady-like body and bisque lower limbs and is the smallest size we’ve owned. She has wonderful antique bisque, ribbed stockings with blue garters and heeled boots with four straps and tan soles. Her head circumference is 4″ around (rim) and the shoulder plate measures 1 1/4″ across at the base and 1 3/4 across her shoulders. She is in excellent condition with no damages, chips or hairlines, no stains or repairs and no odors as she is from a smoke free home. What an outstanding doll she will make when dressed! A Stunning Dressel Kister Full-Body Doll. Gorgeous Doll Face, meticulously hand-painted. Her lovely sheer dress is sewn and wired to look like it is blowing in the wind. You can adjust the wire however you like, to have her dress blowing up. Her pink tulle slip. Peeks out from beneath. Note in the above photo, there is invisible cord to the front. This cord makes the swing hang at a 90 degree angle. As seen in photo below. You can leave this cord off if you prefer; then. Hang at more like a 45 degree angle. It looks great either way, your choice! Most of my photos are taken without this front cord. An idea for display: Put a tea cup hook in the underside of a curio cabinet shelf. And hang her there among your other treasures. Condition is excellent – No damage. From time of manufacture there are a. Dust speckles (beauty marks). And also kiln support marks. Under her arms, usual for the larger Dressel standing pieces because. They would hang them in the kiln to protect the glaze.
