Adorable 8.5 Kestner Wrestler With Rare Blue Boots All Bisque Doll Circa 1895. What can I say? If you look for cream of the crop, tip of the top dolls, and you have a fondness for all bisques, look no further, because this larger Kestner all bisque is just one of the finest examples you’ll come across. She’s everything that all bisque collectors look for in a wrestler from her original brown sleep eyes, wonderful little closed pouting mouth, to those muscular legs that define the wrestler genre of all bisques, to her delicate blushing and gorgeous costume constructed of antique fabrics. And yet, this angel is made even more individual still by her rare pale, early Kestner coloring. She has such a delicacy! But of course, as all wrestlers do, she has flat stacked brows, brown original sleep eyes with well painted lashes… She is simply an outstanding example! She does have some hip and finger chips, but her head, body and right leg are fine. The chipping is to the upper left hip (see photos) and the inside left hand (not seen from the front). With her rare larger size, and desirable pale blue tasseled boots, I know that she’s undervalued at this price, so grab her up before she’s no longer available! With a layaway plan, you can secure this doll for yourself, while taking your time to pay at your own pace! Please note that dolls are made available on layaway depending on a variety of factors — please check with us if a particular doll can be offered on a layaway plan. Are you tired of. Getting what you bargained for on Internet auctions? Fast and friendly service. No hidden damage or surprises. Fabulous Merchandise at affordable prices. She has an all-bisque body with shapely muscular limbs (hence the name Wrestler), with jointed shoulders and thighs and neck. Wonderful original brown glass sleep eyes, painted upper & lower lashes, feathered brows, closed pouting mouth, and a blushed cheeks and chin. She wears a fabulous original blond mohair wig with bangs. She stands at 8.5 tall. She wears a wonderful deep purple antique silk dress that has the most subtle iridescence to it. Accented with antique lace around the collar, cuffs, and horizontal bands down the front panel defined by two vertical lace bands, knife pleats at the dropped waist and cute little silk flower appliques, antique cream cotton pantaloons. A cute pleated purple hat with rows of ruffled lace and flower trim. But most of all–look at those molded and painted blue boots with black tassels, white ribbed socks with purple band. Just a delightful overall presentation. Marks: 3 (back crown). Condition: Generally excellent except for chipping to upper left hip and inside left fingers. Her bisque head, torso, arms and legs are all free of hairlines or restoration. The bisque is pale and with delicate and skilled painting of her cute features, and no rubs. The sleep eyes function well and retain thier original wax lids. Overall, a fabulous find, made affordable by her minor, hidden damage. PS–The last picture shows our little cherub next to her best friend, the Yellow Booted Kestner–Also for sale on our Ruby Lane site! ANTIQUE HEINRICH HANDWERCK SIMON HALBIG BISQUE DOLL Circa 1905 Orig Hair & Eyes

ANTIQUE HEINRICH HANDWERCK SIMON HALBIG BISQUE DOLL Circa 1905 Orig Hair & Eyes. The following information is from a store that specializes in Dolls. This model is circa 1905. She comes with original human hair (don’t judge, it is how they made them back then). Her original glass eyes open when she is stood up or sitting and they close as she reclines. There is minor chipping and scuffs as you would expect from a little dame of 114 years of age. The body is intact and her strings are probably not original though they are fully functioning and properly strung. Her clothes are original. She stands approximately 24 inches tall. I could not find a mold number for her (maybe someone viewing this could help me with that). The item “ANTIQUE HEINRICH HANDWERCK SIMON HALBIG BISQUE DOLL Circa 1905 Orig Hair & Eyes” is in sale since Wednesday, March 6, 2019. This item is in the category “Dolls & Bears\Dolls\Antique (Pre-1930)\Bisque\German”. The seller is “maubr-9″ and is located in Reading, Pennsylvania. This item can be shipped to United States.

Doll is in good condition. “Made In Germany 9 1/2 171″ inscribed on back of head. ” Red stamp “Germany 2 1/2 imprinted on body. Bisque head, composition body. She comes with a trunk of clothes. Please note that the trunk is in poor condition. Best thing about this doll are the period accessories and clothes, circa mid 1880s. Clothes are in fair condition: Shoes 4 pairs, stockings 7 pairs. Doll jewelry: a pearl necklace and heart-shaped silver locket on a ribbon, painted with a flower. Doll toiletries: talc powder in old fashioned container & a tiny bottle of perfume. Also has knitted slippers and 2 pairs of mittens but these have moth damage. Variety of clothing mostly ok condition: 2 Petticoats &1 pantaloons trimmed in ribbon and lace with tiny buttons – great attention to detail. She wears an additional nightgown w/ pantaloons and camisole. Includes a flowered dress, embossed blouse, 2 bonnets. There is a beautiful blue-green silk skirt/blouse set that unfortunately has moth damage. I’m including because they are beautiful examples of craft and fashion of the time. She was given to me circa 1965. Had wig replaced at that time. Her name Teta Castleman is written on inside of one or two of the camisoles, with the initials “TC” stenciled on the side of the trunk along with “VA” because she was in Virginia. Historical: Doll is from the mid to late 1880s. A small hand-written note comes with this doll, dated Christmas 1907. She was a Christmas gift to my aunt. The relative who gave it to my aunt had had the doll since she herself was young, which would put the doll’s origin to around 1885 or earlier. She measures 20 inches from the bottom of her foot to the top of her head. The trunk that her clothes came in measures 14 inches wide, 8 inches tall and 8 inches deep. It appears to be made of very lightweight wood that was covered over with a painted veneer of some sort, which has chipped and come off in places. This is to protect the mechanism that controls the eyes’ opening/closing. Let me know if you want me to do this. It means that when you get the doll, she will look different from the pictures because she won’t have her hair. The hair will be included of course, to be re-glued later. That this will be 100% effective in preventing the eyes from breaking, but it seems like it might work.
