The pale bisque head with weighted brown glass eyes, painted lashes and feathered eyebrows, pinched nose with two painted red nostrils and closed mouth, curly brown wig and on a fully jointed wood and composition body, wearing blue flannel sailor-style antique dress, underclothes, socks and white leather shoes, incised 1448, Simon & Halbig, 10, (repair to one finger), 66cm (25in) tall. PERFECT Bisque socket head, brown glass sleep eyes, dark eyeliner, painted curly lashes, rose-blushed eye shadow, short feathered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with very full lips, extended-length blonde mohair wig, composition and wooden ball-jointed body. Simon and Halbig, circa 1909 , from their 1400 series of rare characters, the model bears a close resemblance to Simon and Halbig’s beloved IV model.
