Jutta Character Doll 1914 Toddler Simon Halbig Sailor Costume
This beautiful doll is approximately 22 inches tall. Bisque head and composition body. Head is marked Jutta 1914 12 and there is a “50″ near the crown of the head. I do not know the ellipse shaped marking, perhaps by. Gebruder Heubach or Simon & Halbig. No hairline cracks when inspected with a flashlight. On the back of the neck you may see a tiny horizontal line, this is NOT a crack, it is totally on the surface and likely to have happened during production. I like to mention EVERYTHING so there are no misunderstandings!!! Blue glass sleep eyes, painted brows and painted lashes. Trembling tongue has a little soiling, totally normal for a doll of this age and you have to look hard to see it. Some cracking on the top of the closed eyelids, also normal for the age. Nice compo body with rare wrist joints. Please study the photos to see that there is some paint loss and scuffs. I believe that the strings in the arms could use a little tightening, they are totally attached, but don’t want to hold a pose for very long!! There are significant chips in the feet. The body does not appear to have been repainted, but I never guarantee that any of my. Bodies have never been touched up. The outfit is yellowed from time and the elastic in the waist band needs replacing, I have pinned it to keep them on for now. A couple of darker yellow marks on the waist band. Clothes may have little imperfections that I may have missed, tiny tears, holes, stains, I try my best to mention everything that I see, but this item is old and may not be in perfect condition! The shoes are modern. The wig is old and I believe it is human hair, if not then it is mohair. We try to honestly describe everything in the written description and in the photos.
