Marked on the bottom with a small black artist mark and features a Kewpie with blue wings holding an umbrella and carrying a traveling suit case, bag. This is the larger version of this model that measures 4.75″ tall and 2.25″ wide. It is in good condition with what looks like a hair line on Kewpie’s arm, we have a pen pointing to it…. 18 Antique Black German Bisque Head Doll S&H 739 DEP
Gorgeous Simon and Halbig black mold 739 for the French market. There are a couple rust stains on her dress, but the material is sturdy and in good condition. Her shoes are fragile. Overall in excellent condition and as you can see her brown eyes need to be set. Some glue along the back of her head and free from cracks. Her fingers and toes have some loss of composition. Red cheeks and wearing matching lipstick. Very pretty and has upper teeth. Curly hair that is dry and in need of conditioning and styling. Some surface dirt and in need of cleaning. Earlier Antique Kestner German Bisque Doll in Antique dress French Trade. Earlier Antique Kestner c1870s German Bisque Doll in Antique dress. Early Kestner bisque dolls are just marked with a number or a size. Later dolls are usually well marked with the mold mark and Made in Germany. This gorgeous beauty marked only with earlier mold number 12. She has large blue glass stationary eyes framed with hand painted lashes open mouse and 5 tiny French style teeth, creamy bisque with rosy blush and small dimple on her chin, pierced ears with small earrings, human hair raspberry wig, dressed in antique pink cotton organza dress and marching full slip, antique white pantaloons with cotton lace, antique shoes and socks. She stands at 20 tall on her original antique wood & composition, fully-jointed body. MARKS: 15 12 [back of head, incised]. The bisque head is in good condition, and is free of any hairlines, cracks, chips, or restoration. Top-quality painting and modeling of features, with large blue glass set eyes. The wood & composition body is nice and re-panted. The antique costume is great, in clean and sturdy condition, with great presentation. Overall, this is a lovely doll! 6.5 Antique 253 Googly Character by Armand Marseille Glass Eyes circa 1920 We LOVE Googlies here at our doll shop. This one is a cute petite 253 Googly by Armand Marseille with no damage and no repair. Marked on the back of the head with: G 253 B Germany A 11/0 M. (The G B is for George Borgfeldt, New York importer). The 253 googly is often marked Nobbikid, though this one isn’t. This sweet doll has set chocolate brown glass side-glancing googly eyes, delicately painted upper and lower painted eyelashes, accented nostrils, closed mouth in a smirkie smile, antique cardboard pate, ash blond mohair wig, and one stroke character brows. Clean and from a smoke free environment, circa 1920. 6.5 Antique 253 Googly Nobbikid Doll Armand Marseille Glass Eyes circa 1920.
