She’s 25 inches tall. Hands in excellent condition with no broken fingers. Her natural human hair is in fair condition with some shedding. The rest of her composition body parts are in varying condition with a broken arm and foot. With some TLC she can make a full recovery. Began their doll making business in 1899. A rare and beautiful miniature doll, unused, a kind of GOOGLY doll! The head is made from procelain, marked at the back of the head! Marked with the sign of HEUBACH NR 3 34 9141! The body is wood and paper mache! Head, arms and legs are movable, shoes and socks are painted! The hairstyle is molded! She wears pants, jacket and a collar, they are sewed to the body! Amazingly beautiful doll by famous doll manifacture! She is 22 tall. The doll has bisque socket head, fixed blue eyes with upper lashes and painted bottom lashes, open mouth with teeth and lovely mohair blonde wig. Her ears are pierced (no earrings). She has original composition ball jointed body. The doll marked on the back of the head Germany Heinrich Handwerck, Simon Halbig 2 1/2. The body also marked with stamp. Looks like is has Germany Heinrich Handwerck 2 1/2 on it. She is wearing lovely antique/vintage dress and has matching hat with flowers. She also has bottom dress, skirt and pants. The doll is in overall very good antique condition. Bisque head is free of hairlines, cracks, chips, or restoration. The wig hair is matted. The body shows signs of wear which is totally reasonable for very old original composition body. Body and head a little loose, might need some restrung, but not required. The clothes are in a good condition. There are some small stains and very little 1-2 hols. Please take a close look at the pictures as they are a part of description. ANTIQUE 23 JDK KESTNER LEATHER KID JOINTED BODY 9.154 DEP BISQUE DOLL. Doll is all original. Measures approx 23 long. Her body is all leather up to her calves that are cloth. There is some tearing of the old material and the socks are holding in the saw dust or cork, as the label says, so you may want to repair that portion. The arms are loose and the wire will need to be tightened up. Her lids have a little missing paint, but overall still work fine, etc. I’m guessing the hair is original. The rest of the body looks fine. She has 4 top teeth and beautiful blue eyes. The bisque hands are not broken, the head is not damaged. There is some surface soil, so she could use a little cleaning. Please be sure to look at all the photos, since they are part of the description and enlarge them for more details. These items are used. This darling antique Kestner made in Germany 146 M 16 with original red stamped Excelsior 6 ½ composition body is 29 tall. The doll has her original uncombed mohair wig with long curls. The bisque head has wonderful color with original big brown glass open and sleep eyes. The eyes are free of bad chips when closed. The eyes have been reset. The back of the head is mold marked M Made in Germany 16 146 on the back of the head. The head has passed 10x magnification, the bright light and black light tests. The tests show NO signs of chips, cracks, or hairlines on the bisque head. The doll has her original Excelsior 6 ½ red stamped composition body. The body is very clean with some tiny minor composition chips on the neck socket. The left hand and forearm appear to have been repainted. The ring finger may have been repaired? The rest of the fingers on the left hand are free of any damage. The right hand is free of any damage or repainting. The entire body has its original paint except for the left forearm and hand. The feet are free of any chips on the toes and the ball sockets on the doll are in very nice condition. The doll is dressed in an extremely well made light blue dress with matching bonnet. She has a well made one piece slip and long stockings and white shoes. She is missing a button on one shoe. This gorgeous antique Kestner 146 will make a super addition to any doll collection.
