24.5 Inch Antique Adolf Wislizenus A W Special German Bisque Doll circa 1910. 24.5 Inch Antique Adolf Wislizenus AW Special German Bisque Doll c. 1910 Such a sweet doll! This 24.5-inch antique German bisque headed doll is made by Adolf Wislizenus. Marked on the back of the head with AW Special Germany. She had no hairlines or damage or repair on her bisque head. She is especially pretty with blue glass sleep eyes with mohair lashes, brushstroke eyebrows, rosy cheeks, accented eye corners, and upper and lower painted eyelashes. She has an antique mohair wig and is wearing an antique light yellow dress with antique cotton undergarments – all of the vintage fabrics. Her socks and brown lace-up boots are vintage. She is on an antique composition body with jointed wrists and just a little pretty sweetie! No damage and no repair clean from a non-smoking environment Item#10118a. This wonderful little girl is mold #320. She stands 8 tall in her sweet old handmade dress. Someone took the time to make this dress with all the stitching on the old fabric. Her hat appears to be factory as is one of the undergarments, one is handmade. Sweet little face with open mouth and little teeth. Her body is in nice condition, the head is a swivel. Rare 10 Oriental doll dating from the Victorian era, possibly by Simon & Halbig and marked simply with a 6/0. The clothes may be original although Im not sure. The wig seems to be. This little lady stands 24 1/2 tall, has a smooth complexion, big blue sleep eyes, open mouth showing teeth. No hairlines or damages to bisque, incised Walkure/Germany. One small light spot on forehead. Original antique ash blonde mohair wig has a bit of discoloration in the front, it’s thick and nice. Original composition body is excellent with only minor paint rubs. She comes dressed in an antique silk dress with lace collar, antique slip, knit socks, antique bonnet and hand made in Russia leather shoes. Some melting to silk on dress. Doll ships from Canada. This is a 16 Bisque Head Child Doll -harder to find mold made by Simon and Halbig S&H 769 DEP made for Export. This little doll has her original human hair Wig with pate, brown feathered Brows, upper and lower finely painted black Lashes, Glass fabulous dark brown German Sleep Eyes with full eye Wax. She has an open bow shape smiling Mouth with 4 upper Teeth and bright pinky Cheeks which lead right down to her adorable dimpled double Chin. Her Head has no Cracks, Chips or Hairlines with pierced Ears and Earrings. She is on her original jointed composition French style Body in excellent. Condition with expected wear, original paint finish and some vintage touch-ups on her knee ball joints. Her Body is tightly strung with straight Wrists, left arm is stiff in the elbow area but looks fine and I don’t want to force it. GREAT ANTIQUE VERY LARGE & EARLY GERMAN PAPIER MACHE DOLL RARE! Exposed Ears

This doll is believed to be an early German Papier Mache shoulder head doll from the mid or early 1800s. The doll is unmarked. She is 31 tall! The doll has a unique expression , black hair, exposed ears, and blue painted eyes. She has kid leather arms that appear to go all the way up to the shoulders. I have not completely undressed her, but the leather is intact at least passed her elbows. She has a cloth body which appears to be original and in good condition but may have been replaced over the years. The clothes are old but again, I cannot determine if they are original. The clothes are in fairly good condition with some tearing of the lace. Her face has multiple rubs and one larger chip on the forehead. There is some loss of coloring on her cheeks but they eyes are still very vibrant. All of these imperfections should be evident in the pictures. All of her fingers are in tact.
