15″ “10 Closed mouth pouty face doll with brown sleep eyes, blonde mohair wig, plaster pate. Rim edge marked (black ink) X11 or 11X. Lips are slightly parted with white space between them. Papier mache jointed body with 1 pc. Dressed in antique red wool dress with black scroll embroidery trim. Wool flannel petticoat, cotton pantaloons. Leather shoes, lace socks. Also comes with black/red wool dress. Condition: black kiln line over right eye otherwise, nothing observed on bisque after careful examination. Age loss to wool clothing. Condition as shown in photos and also see condition report, see title for more information. Please look carefully at the photos. They are a large part of the description. All of my items are from a non-smoking home. Very Rare German Bisque Googly, #8556 by Gebruder Heubach. This rare find Character Googly doll measure 13 33 cm. Solid domed bisque socket head with rounded face and very full cheeks and chin, sculpted light blonde hair with defined topknot, forelock curl and side curls. He has large googly eyes with deeply-intaglio-sculpted side and down-glancing googly eyes, painted red and black thin upper eyeliner, angled brows, tiny rounded nose, unusually-shaped mouth with shaped and dimpled lips. Composition and wooden ball-jointed body, and nicely costumed. The condition is generally excellent, with no hairlines, cracks, broken or missing to the bisque, the head is perfect. The body has some little missing paint in the left hand, and a little miss paint in the right shoulder. Marks: 8556 Heubach (in square) Germany 6. This unique character boy doll was created by Gebruder Heubach, circa 1915. The rarity of the model, especially in this wonderful toddler size, is rivaled by its wonderful characterization, choice bisque and painting, original body and body finish, the body is signed in the back Germany 0. Are antique doll Kestner, 16. Extremely rare dark AA Kestner doll. She is 16 tall. Marking: E Made in Germany 9. The head is sealed with the original plaster paint, the eyes are brown and sleeping. On the right ear slightly dyed paint. There are no other flaws on the head. In general head is in excellent condition. The body is native. Strong, whole, without a trace of any interventions. Stretched on a fresh gum, well-kept posture. Dressed in a beautiful antique dress, can be origin to the doll. Nice straw hat and underwear. The doll is wonderful, rarely on sale. She has a bisque socket head, with the original brown glass eyes, with painted upper and lower lashes, feathered brows, and an open mouth with four square-cut upper teeth. She has her original blond mohair wig, in a short wavy style. She stands on her original 8 fully-jointed wood & composition child body. She wears a green straw-type hat, with a wide brim, with flowery decorations. She wears an antique white cotton dress with attached frontal apron, with feathered stitching, and scalloped edging. Underneath goes a white cotton antique half slip with eyelet lace embroidery, and antique pantaloons. Her feet snuggle within a tiny pair of white leather shoes with laces. MARKS: made in Germany 143[back of head, incised]. The bisque head is free of any hairlines, cracks, chips, or restoration, with high quality painting and molding of features. She has the original glass eyes (now fixed). The wood & composition body is in good overall condition, with good painting and varnish, with intact fingers and toes. There are some areas of touchup of paint, and some epoxy work on the shoulders. Still, this is not unexpected for these antique bodies. The costume is great overall, with only the most minor and typical of age wear. Overall, this is a fantastic doll in great condition, and bound to please! Here is a wonderful and very rare, early circa 1914, German Steiff (script ff button-in-ear) jointed caricature, uniformed male doll with exaggerated features. Called, ” Infantry Grenadier ” or ” Tommy ” on pages 107-110, “Steiff Teddy Bears, Dolls & Toys”-Wilson & Conway, he measures. 14 1/2 tall, with swivel joints at his shoulders and hips with long slender legs and large, flat pointed feet. He has large felt hands with individually stitched fingers, a swivel neck, black beady eyes, mustache and the early stitched, center face seam & applied ears. He wears his original, dark grey, two-piece, felt uniform with many brass buttons. And brown leather belt (impressed STEIFF) to match his brown leather shoes, dark red trim on jacket, cuffs, collar, stripe on trousers and matching, trimmed military cap, large metal buckle and sword in belt. See him also on page 37, “Antique Doll Collector”, August 2016 issue. He has excellent color and blush to hands, face and ears. He has no stains or fading, no holes or tears, no repairs or touch up and is in excellent condition (one small button on cuff is missing and another is missing the button cover). Kley & Hahn Bisque Head Character Doll 16 tall Mold 546 with Glass Eyes Rare! Wig is in great shape. Glass sleep eyes work well. Head is marked on the back K & H / 546 / 4 / Germany. Head circumference 8.5. Head is in great shape, No cracks, chips, breaks or hairlines. Doll is 16 tall. Stringing is a little loose and needs to be tightened. Both hands looks like they have been repainted. Some chipping on lower right foot. Overall composition has typical wear for it’s age. Outfit is old and in great shape. Comes with pantaloons, socks, shoes, dress, pate and wig. We have left the pictures large so you can zoom in to see all the details.
