BLACK GERMAN ANTIQUE DOLL, KONIG & WERNICKE FLIRTY-EYES-MARKS KW & G 134.16/0 Konig & Wernickes around 1912 in Germany, created this adorable flirty-eyes toddler girl, with Negroid features. 15 tall, painted black bisque socked head, dark brown sleeping and flirty eyes- that work amazing! -open mouth with 4 upper glass teeth. The wig is original black tight curly hair, and the pate is glued to the wig. In a composition five-piece toddler body. She is a rare find, because there are not many dolls of this kind any more : The marks on the back of the head: K. W underneath is a G and underneath are the numbers 134- 16/0. Now for the booboos that this beauty has; the head has some wig pulls, rest of glue and a little scuff in the bottom of her head as you can see in the photos, but no hair lines or broken. The body have an old reparation in the left shoulder as you can see in the photos, very light cracking at the sides of legs, not bad at all. This is a beautiful doll, that even when has some scuff to the composition body, is a very desirable and hard to find doll that will enhance any collection. No many dolls are so cute and with those flirty-eyes melted your heart. She is also in the cover page of the book “Black Dolls ” by Myla Perkins, so adorable.
