This is a 17 antique bisque doll by J D Kestner, Germany. Imprint on back of head – Dep. 6-1.2 Original sticker on chest. Blue sleep eyes – they work. Bisque head & lower arms; kid leather body and legs; riveted joints. Four upper teeth showing in mouth; eyebrows are painted. No cracks in bisque, but 3 fingers on right hand have slight chips on fingertips & one chip on left hand thumb. A beautiful antique doll. Wig is attached and looks good but pate shows thru in a couple of places – hair may need restyling; Leather body may need a bit of cleaning. Prize Baby’ tag on body. Original Underwear and a vintage dress. Mohair wig looks so. Nice and clean that i. Can’t say for sure if its original(see pics). There is No pate under the wig. Stationary blue glass eyes. There is probably 2 very shallow chips on the upper. But because i can’t remove the underwear. I couldn’t’see’ it, only feel it though the fabric. The underwear shows age, with yellowing, stain. Prize baby tag on the body is almost fully intact, with. Only a small tear on the side(see pic). If you have any questions, please let me know. 13 closed mouth marked only 117 made for the French market. She has a perfect bisque head with a solid dome with two stringing holes. She has blue paperweight eyes and reddish brown multi-stroke eyebrows. There is a white space between her lips. She wears what appears to be her original human hair brunette wig with long curls. She is on her original straight wristed Sonneberg body. There is a paint smear on her chest area and her left foot has a chunk missing. She is dressed in what appears to be an artist made ivory drop waist dress with pink dots. She also wears silk socks and antique oil cloth shoes. This popular 143 mold appears to be a boy with his original bobbed wig and one-piece romper. He is 9.5 tall and has a perfect bisque head and brown sleep eyes. His original fully jointed body has its original finish. I did not remove his long stockings because they appear to be original and I did not want to damage the blue ribbons tied at the ankles.
