She is an amazing find, and in wonderful condition… The prettiest KR I have ever come across. A young German sweetheart. She has a beautiful bisque socket head with lovely facial coloring, and nice large, clear brown sleep eyes that open and close with ease. Full auburn brows, a sweet mouth with four nice original teeth, pierced ears with earrings, and delicate facial features. Her wood-and-composition body has its original finish. She is ball-jointed and possesses all fingers and toes. She wears a replaced brunette wig with bangs and a slight flip at the ends. It’s a nice wig style for this German bébé. She comes to you in a delicately embroidered organdy dress with lace accents and added embellishments, and a matching bonnet. She wears matching lace bloomers and slip, long white stockings, and antique leather shoes. The following props are not included: DOLL STAND. Beautiful antique condition — from a non-smoking environment. Her body is in like-new condition, with original finish as mentioned. She is nicely strung and holds a pose well. There is a kiln crack at the rim as pictured (does not extend down to become a hairline). Otherwise no chips, hairlines, repairs, or repaint noticed after careful examination. She has a mold imperfection on her right forearm, as you see. She wants to be yours! IMPORTANT: Besides the noteworthy issues mentioned above, EXPECT any antique doll (bisque/composition/leather/china/wood) to ALSO have: (1) SIGNS OF AGE – for example: toned/crazed/chipped composition, minor wig pulls, loss of “hair” lashes on bisque heads (if they had them), not-so-tight stringing, etc. (2) MINOR CONSERVATION WORK by previous owners/collectors – for example: reset eyes in most cases! , repairs to wig, repairs to clothing, touch-ups on composition/finish/paint, etc. Any MAJOR issues — hairline crack, total repaint, etc. – would be itemized above, but these normal age/conservation details are not.
