” price is a PRECIOUS 6″ ANTIQUE GERMAN WRESTLER TYPE ALL BISQUE DOLL WITH CASE AND TROUSSEAU! A DELIGHTFUL DISPLAY, complete with a beautiful antique box and sweet little wardrobe items, she will steal your heart with her CHARMING PRESENTATION—–you will love playing with this TINY TREASURE! Included in this offering you will receive a HARD TO FIND antique German Wrestler type larger size 6 all bisque doll with painted and molded heeled YELLOW BOOTS and beautifully formed all bisque body, housed in a lovely antique Victorian velveteen box with her eleven piece hand made TROUSSEAU ENSEMBLE! Her wardrobe collection includes four tops and three skirts of various colors and fabrics, a two piece melon colored knit hat and sweater top set, a pretty rose pink cotton gauze dress with brown satin bow, and precious straw hat with floral embellishments! All of the items are vintage or antique and with the exception of the straw hat are hand sewn or “Mommy made”! The doll herself is just lovely, of German origin, but made for the FRENCH MARKET with an all bisque “Wrestler” type body with one arm extended and the other curled, molded and painted YELLOW BOOTS with painted white stockings rimmed in blue, and a more sophisticated slender body shape with a slightly molded chest and peg jointed arms and legs! She has a molded neck with a hauntingly beautiful face including COBALT BLUE set glass eyes, painted arched DRAMATIC EYEBROWS, subtly blushed cheeks and sweet little ROSEBUD MOUTH with a slightly pouty expression! She has her original BLONDE MOHAIR wig and pate, both firmly attached to her head, and there are no apparent makers marks, but most likely manufactured by KESTNER who made similar body styles for their all bisque “Wrestler” type dolls! The back of her bisque head has an old firing line from the rim of her head down to the top of her shoulder which we believe was done in the manufacturing process, and along with minor wear around the peg joints there is a small chip on one of her upper thighs which we have reflected in our asking price. Otherwise, the body is in EXCELLENT CONDITION with no other noted damage or restorations including on her hands and fingers! The doll and her wardrobe items are showcased in a beautiful antique deep rose colored velveteen box measuring 8 1/4″ wide, 5 1/2″ deep and 3 tall. The box has its original rich gold silk lined interior compartment with mirror on the inside lid trimmed with silk cording, and the top of the box has the sweetest antique lithograph trade card picture framed by gold Dresden trim and featuring a little girl with her charming little toys! The box has some age wear, especially to the velvet nap of the material, but overall still makes a CHARMING DISPLAY for this sweet little doll and her treasures!
