Antique German 20 Bisque Head 237 JDK Kestner Hilda Doll With Toddler full jointed body. Its not often that a HILDA , Kestner 1070 237 appears in this quality. The doll measures 20 inches tall. Its fully marked (incised) on back of head. First line is incised F MADE IN 13, 2nd line is incised GERMANY, then 237 , JDK, 1914 C in circle and finally HILDA. Horizontally is incised Ges. Never seen so much info on back of doll head. Beautifully modeled face with her original plaster pate. Her bisque is excellent and minty. She has no cracks, chips, hairlines. She has lovely brush painted lashes and feathered brushed eyebrows, lovely painted lips, open two-toned coral mouth with two glass upper teeth, peaches and cream complexion with a hint of dewy patina in her rosy cheeks; her blue sleep eyes are demure and gentle, and eyelid wax is intact. Body is smooth with red markings on fingers and toes. She wearing a beautiful vintage white dress with flower, slip, undies, and white socks. Her white leather shoes are French, and marked on sole Model Depose and imprint of a French boot. This doll is a must for any serious doll collector. The toddler body is extremely nice with minimal wear at joints and hands. She looks sweet with a hint of sauciness.
