Antique German Glass Eyed Simon & Halbig Little Women Mignonette Dollhouse Doll
Gorgeous 7 Simon & Halbig? She is just fabulous! Her skirt is magnifique in pale yellow ribbon moire. The pearl trim around the top of her dress is fantastic but there is a button or closure missing. There is a long black velvet scarf draped around her neck. Under her dress, is a stiff muslin crinoline which makes her dress nice and full. Under her crinoline is a see through voile pantaloon. I think this doll may have been re-dressed. There are two little black spots on the left side of her dress (see photo). Her lower arms and legs are made of bisque, the upper arms and legs are made of fabric. Her arms are very fragile. Is some surface dirt on the bisque. Her face is 2 die 4 with black glass eyes, blushed cheeks, and a light coral pursed mouth. Her head is stationary. She is very nicely painted and extremely fine. Her braided hair is very thick and in a double bun on top of her head…. Overall, a real treasure that would make a great addition to any collection. Any detail that I overlook is NOT intentional.
