Cute 14 Antique German Bisque Head Boy Character Doll

This doll is done in the style of other boy character dolls such as the Kaiser baby by Kammer Reinhardt or the boy German character doll made by Fritz Bierschenk who created dolls from 1880 – 1930. I don’t believe this is one of his dolls, as they normally are marked with an “FB” and a number. This doll is only marked with the number’1′ and Germany. So his maker is unknown to me. He is approximately 14 tall. Bisque head on fully jointed composition and wood body. His bisque head is without damage, including hairlines. Great modeling of his facial features with those chunky cheeks with folds showing. Blue painted eyes and multi-stroke flyaway eyebrows. His composition body retains the original finish and still has that nice blush on his hands and knees. There is a chip on his left foot toes as you can see in pictures. Stringing is loose, he can be displayed on a stand, but arms and legs cannot be posed. A sweet German character doll.
