Antique Doll
The doll is a German Pet Name Antique China head on a mommy made and stuffed cloth body I believe the body is old but may not be antique. The hands are very grotesque and exaggerated and Antique China doll collectors love those old mom made bodies. The head isn`t cracked and is painted beautifully with no rubs that I saw and measures 24 inches tall. Her adorable antique childs shoes are a bit big on her but they are in super shape holding up all these years. There will be light staining and appropriate age and wear on the dolls body and her clothes. To make the dress tighter at the neck for this sweet China head. Her head was made by the German doll making firm Hertwig and is marked Bertha with an elaborate molded front and back collar. The gold that would have been used to decorate the name and her collar has worn off from age. The dress and under clothes haven`t been washed by me and the doll has no offensive or smelly odors.
