Antique German Rare 18 Bruno Schmidt Bisque Child Doll With Antique Clothes. Beautiful and rare Bruno Schmidt doll. One could replace it with a longer wig to make the doll look more feminine. The body may have been lightly repainted. There is a repair to a finger. The tongue has some loss to the tip. Head doesnt have cracks or hairlines. There is an original firing dot on forehead. Bright and beautiful, this darling Kestner bisque child doll is here to stay! This precious German-made girl stands at 14 tall, with a high-quality modeling and painted features, with bright blue glass eyes! She bears a resemblance to the classic kestner 167 model. Shes on a wood & composition body, and is adorned in a cute costume, topped with a blond mohair wig. She does have some damage to the bisque head, and is thus being offered here at an incredible price! Snatch her up now, and make her your own! She has a bisque socket head, with painted and molded features: blue glass eyes (formerly sleep eyes, but are now set), painted upper and lower lashes, feathered brown brows, and an open mouth with four upper teeth. She is on a wood & composition body, fully-jointed, standing at 14 tall. She wears a blond mohair wig in a short, curly style. She wears a white cotton high-quality dress, with eyelet lace trim and raised embroidery detailing. Underneath goes a white cotton full slip, with lace trim, and a pair of cream cotton pantaloons. She wears white socks and white faux leather shoes, while a purple ribbon goes around her waist. MARKS: made in Germany [back of head, incised]. Germany 0 1/2 [back stamp in red] on Body. CONDITION: The right side of the forehead has a hairline, which has been reinforced on the inside with plaster. Two spots along the outer surface of the hairline appear to have spots where the plaster has filled in. The hairline seems to end at the outer corner of the right eye. Other than this, the bisque head is good, with high-quality painting and modeling of features. The glass eyes are original, but are now set. The wood & composition body has a replaced left leg and thigh, with a very close approximate replacement, which has some touchup to the thigh balljoint. Other than this, the body is good, with high quality finish and good stringing. The hands are good. The wig is soft and supple; a high-quality mohair wig. The costume is good. Other than the issues described, the doll bears only minor and otherwise expected age wear. Rare Antique Armand Marseille Ebony bisque head doll from Germany circa 1890 on and marked on the back 1894. Bisque head is free from chips, cracks or hairlines. Original composition jointed body in very nice condition strung well and holds a pose standing 23 tall. Hazel brown inset glass eyes, sadly the right one is cracked, however is stable, does not pose a problem and to me doesn’t take away from her. She has a sweet innocence about her. Vintage human hair long curly wig and red hat giving her a very classy style and an antique style dress that is a mauve lavender color faded with time. No unders, shoes or stockings with her. This German bisque doll has stat. Ionary glass eyes and a precious face. The doll is 9 tall and is wearing his original nightgown. The doll is in good condition with no cracks or chips to the bisque head. There are some face rubs and on the back of the head there are either wig pulls or that was how it was painted and fired on at the factory. The composition body has some small chips and the right leg has a crack. The stringing is a bit loose on the doll. I stuffed the head and glued the mohair wig pieces into place somewhat. The back of the head is marked’Made in Germany’ and below that I see No. And what looks like a 9-0. Below all of that looks like a capital’G’. She has a bisque head and older style composition body with balls in the shoulders, and with widely separated fingers. 1079 14 1/2 / DEP / Germany This is a large and beautiful 1079 by Simon & Halbig. She has a peaceful expression, with magnificent gray-blue eyes. She is wearing her original auburn-brown human hair wig, which is long and braided on top of her head. Her lace hairpiece/hat is becoming, with a an unusual coral-color silk bow that accents her beautiful antique white dress with lace and silk flower accents. Her pierced ears have stone-and-pearl earrings that match her lovely antique outfit. She would be an excellent addition to any collection. NOTE: Photo props not included: DOLL STAND. Beautiful antique condition — from a non-smoking environment. No issues found with the bisque after careful examination other than some wig pulls. Average age on composition. At least one small stain noticed on the antique dress near the collar.
