Made for French market DEP C model 18.5 47 cm. , beautifully dressed Bisque socket head, dark blue glass stationary eyes similar to French Jumeau eyes, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, brushstroked and feathered brows, accented nostrils, open mouth with accented lips, 4 porcelain upper teeth, impressed dimple on her chin, pierced ears, blonde French human hair wig in long ringlet curls, adorned with cameo earrings and pin set, composition and wooden ball-jointed body. Condition: generally excellent with no chips or cracks to her head and only few wig pulls, body repainted. Her silk dress has some stains. Marks: C S&H DEP. Comments: Simon and Halbig, circa 1900. Nice body for a German or other doll head. Because of some different colors of the pieces I assume some are not original. They all look very good together in my opinion. About 9 1/4″ with the head opening being about 1 1/4″ outside opening. Does say Germany on the back. Does have scrapes and misc. Abrasions, etc as an older body will. Toes and fingers there. Hard to find in small size. Please take into consideration I have no idea where this doll body has been in it’s lifetime. I also have no idea if all the pieces were orginial to the body. I take my best guess and go with it. Please be realistic and do not expect perfection from an antique item. She has a bisque shoulder head, with gorgeous brown glass sleep eyes in original factory setting, kidskin pin jointed body with bisque wonderfully sculptured hands. She has a bisque shoulder head with brown sleep eyes, painted upper and lower lashes, brown feathered brows, and an open mouth with four square-cut upper teeth. She stands at 26 tall on her original pin-jointed kidskin body, with bisque lower arms. She wears gorgeous antique cotton dress, she has vintage dark blonde wig. DEP, body “COLUMBIA cork stuffed”. CONDITION: The bisque head is free of any cracks, chips, hairlines, or restoration, and is wonderfully molded and painted into the classic Kestner 154 face. Her kid leather body has some.
